The Dish: The Fuck’it Bucket

What It Is: “A bowl full of awesome,” according to the vague yet accurate menu description. “It’s a creative channel for whoever’s in the kitchen with all our menu items at their disposal,” says co-owner Trent Allen. The dish always includes fries, and may contain some combination of quesadillas, bacon, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, cheese sauce, peach pie, or blueberry pie—everything but the kitchen sink. Kangaroo Boxing Club will make accommodations for vegetarian and gluten-free diets, but even there, they retain near-total creative license.
What It Tastes Like: On a recent night, I got a bowl of barbecue-rubbed fries topped with a fried duck egg, pineapple pulled pork pizza, tomatoes, jalapeños, a bacon “sun” shooting out glorious, crispy rays, whipped cream, and chocolate. It tastes like every hungry drunkard’s wet dream.
The Story: Co-owners Chris Powers and Allen named the Fuck’it Bucket after mysterious mixed drinks they had in Thailand, which signaled the beginning (or end) of a very long night.
When to Eat It: It’s only available on the late-night menu from 11 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
